抵吃之午餐: Bistronomique


考過第一科試
放學當然要去吃頓飯才回家繼續努力
前天才在Al Molo吃了Wild Mushroom Risotto
便有點想跟其他店作一比較
發現不少食客紛紛推薦此開業不久的西環小店
而且價錢相宜
Set lunch的Promotional Price($108)應該是近期和平日才有
比正價要便宜$10 ($118)
只是再看不過兩三個月前的食評就發現到那時的Promotional Price是$98
現加價$10是當時的正價
時間,果然就是金錢
要買趁早, 便專程乘小巴來一趙
看看是否物有所值

己知是小店
不過樓底不算矮
玻璃作門也有足夠自然光透射進來
而且冷氣開足
環境不錯
怕冷的可坐進近酒吧附近位置較少冷風吹到

雖然有烤雞、是日鮮魚SNAPPER等選擇
但已鎖定Risotto為目標
是日也有供應
看看前菜有湯、凱撒沙律和香草三文魚
不想喝奶油湯和有銀魚和煙肉的沙律
就只好點上三文魚了

首先到來的是法包
這才讓我醒覺這間是法國餐廳(平日較多光顧意大利或西餐廳)(笑)
法包熱得來帶脆卻非烘過那樣子
更像剛剛焗熱
而且一人也有三片(雖然體積頗細)
誠意可見一斑吧!?

賣相跟以往食評中所見的不一樣了
全都由廚師整合在一起
各有好處
Dill跟三文魚比普通煙三文魚別有一番滋味
配上新鮮的沙律菜和清甜中帶微酸的切粒青蘋果
正好中和三文魚的油脂
Smart combination!
而且creme fraiche的份量也不過多
這可十分重要!醃製過的三文魚本已夠咸鮮和柔軟
加上刁草和其他配料其實味道和口感已有豐富的層次
dressing只是小小配角、為整道菜加上一點濕潤
醃製三文魚的質素則無謂吹毛求疵
作為Set lunch前菜、不論份量或味道都絕不賴

Wild Mushroom Risotto
看上去有很多啡色粉在面頭
不知道實際上是甚麼
不過好像帶點香味
飯粒都被醬汁覆蓋
可以期待吃下去不會味淡
即製的食物也不會有不夠熱的情況

米飯所用的應是普通的意大利短穀米Arborio rice
從上層的飯可見粒粒分明
不會有煮得不夠而幾粒粘在一起的情況
烹調不論時間掌握、味道都比Al Molo好!
軟身得來有咬口
不會過稔也不會硬得難嚼
可以讓人慢慢品嚐醬汁和菇菌配合得宜的味道
我試過用叉子截進一粒飯粒
結果是失敗了
因為剛開始時飯粒比普通米飯硬而截不進
再瞄準一點則因飯粒粒身較短而只會斷開、不能被叉起

野菌為數不少!
切丁的、切條切片的、大小適中
均勻地混和在飯內
雖然整碟的份量比Al Molo少一點
可能因為那是散點、這裡是Set的portion
但野菌的份數好像不相伯仲!
所以比例上而言Bistronomique應該稍勝一籌!
即使是Set的量也絕對夠飽的! (不要忘了還吃過餐包和前菜!)
更多人有飯吃剩(比吃不下更像是習慣了要吃剩一點才不會難看..)
Sauce的味道香濃但完全不膩口、又能使人一口接一口吃下去
不像普通餐廳所用的Cream sauce般"白晒晒"濃稠得來奶味過重
基本上多半都會蓋過菇菌特有的菌香
份量也剛剛好、吃到最後可以"清碟"

這次的lunch令人滿意
雖加了價但依然是一great value =]
唯獨是未能邀友同來
以致難以再點desserts品嚐
只能拍下照片、留下殘念

Quite nice but a little pricey: Light Radiant Food


Went to Light Radiant unexpectedly because the Italian restaurant I wanted to try was closed at the moment.
It was around 0315 when I arrived, and there was no other customers as the restaurant is normally closed after 3pm.
The boss(I guess) asked me what I would want to have to see if they can still make it, and he was nice to talk to as I asked him to recommend the more popular dishes to me. I was not that hungry but really it was time to eat as it had been so many hours after breakfast. When I saw they had a pea soup on the menu, I subjectively assumed that it would be quite thick after mashing so I ordered the Grilled Portobello Mushroom with Salad, which is one of their signature dishes.

I should say it was only because of my own expectation that it would be thick so that I was a bit disappointed when the soup came. First it's because of the portion; only half of the bowl and second, it was rather watery. But whatever, I wouldn't be that full and could have the quota for dessert then
So I just forgot about the soup as it was nothing"neither special in taste"though organic

Nice mustard sauce!
I really like mustard but normally it's often used to accompany meat, so I can hardly include any in my diet. Portobello mushroom is seemed as a meat substitute by many because of its texture and strong taste among all kinds of mushroom so it's really nice to have mustard sauce on it=] It was made right after order and serve right after cooked so you can enjoy it while it's still staying fresh and at its best taste!
And don't overlook the veggies! It's just easy to see that they were exceptionally fresh. Definitely better than most of the salad deli even at peak hours! As I was not sure if I'd like the dressing, I asked to have it on the side, which was served in the little cup. It tasted surprisingly refreshing because of the lemon and vinegar in it and of course it did its job well that it really matched with the salad=]

As the dish I had here was really light, though comforting and refreshing, I went to Grassroots Pantry afterwards to have a dessert to 'complete' my late lunch

You can make a call if you want to have something to eat there after 3pm. There are sometimes walk-in customers during that period of time and the chef may probably be there.
As the food is made right after order, it's better to come when you have a longer time for lunch.
The environment is nice with quite a lot of green stuff and light in colour, but it's also an open area that you must hear the other people talking.
